What is Osteocare Original used for?

Osteocare Original is a calcium-based nutritional supplement formulated to provide calcium together with vitamin D3, magnesium, zinc and other minerals that contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.                                                                                                                                      Vitamin D also contributes to the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and supports the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.

How does it work?

Osteocare Original provides calcium and complementary nutrients involved in normal bone health.

• Calcium (800 mg/2 tablets): Contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.
• Vitamin D3 (25 µg/1,000 IU): Supports normal calcium absorption and utilisation and helps maintain normal bones.
• Magnesium (300 mg): Supports normal muscle function and contributes to normal bone maintenance.
• Zinc (10 mg): Contributes to the maintenance of normal bones.
• Copper, manganese, selenium and boron: Provide additional mineral support within the formula.

How to Take It

Adults: Take 2 tablets daily with your main meal, or one tablet twice daily. Swallow with water or a cold drink; do not chew the tablets. Do not exceed the recommended intake.

Who Should Not Take It?

Do not use if you have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to any ingredient. Seek medical or pharmacist advice before use if you are under medical supervision, have epilepsy, food allergies, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are taking regular medication.
Not suitable for children in the original tablet formulation. Vitabiotics provides separate Osteocare formulations for children and people who have difficulty swallowing tablets.

Possible Side Effects

The manufacturer reports no known side effects when Osteocare Original is taken as directed. However, calcium and magnesium supplements may cause gastrointestinal symptoms such as constipation, loose stools, bloating or stomach discomfort in some people.

Drug Interactions

Calcium and magnesium can reduce the absorption of some medicines. In particular, people taking thyroid medicines, certain antibiotics, iron supplements or other mineral-containing medicines may need to separate their doses.
